Zelensky appointed Gaidai as the head of the Mukachevo RDA

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, appointed Serhii Gaidai as the head of the Mukachiv District State Administration. The corresponding order was published on the website of the president’s office.

“To appoint Gaidai Serhiy Volodymyrovych as the head of the Mukachiv District State Administration of Zakarpattia Oblast,” reads Order No. 30/2024-rp.

At the same time, by order No. 29/2024-rp, Zelensky dismissed Edgar Tokar from this position.

It will be recalled that Serhiy Gaidai from October 25, 2019. In March 2023, he was dismissed from his post by presidential decree.

Gaidai was planned to be sent as an ambassador to Kazakhstan, but there they refused to issue an agreman (consent to accept a person as the head of a diplomatic mission). According to the interlocutors of ZN.UA, the Kazakh side “gently but firmly” made it clear that it would like to see a professional diplomat take the place of the ambassador of Ukraine in Kazakhstan.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi dismissed after the relevant decisions were supported by the Cabinet of Ministers. The signed decrees were published on the website of the head of state.

According to the documents, the following were released:

Serhii Gaidai from the position of the head of the Luhansk OVA;

Maksym Marchenko from the post of head of Odesa OVA;

Serhiy Gamaliya from the post of head of Khmelnytskyi OVA.

As noted in the decrees, all three were dismissed by Zelensky after they filed statements in this regard.

The day before, the Security Service of Ukraine detained Ihor Tkachuk, the deputy head of Odesa OVA. He is probably suspected of receiving a bribe. This happened after the dismissal at the beginning of 2023 of the deputy head of the Muratov in connection with a similar offense.

In January of this year, Zelenskyi signed decrees on the dismissal of the heads of five other regional administrations – Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, Sumy and Kherson. Four of them are connected with the former deputy head of the president’s office, Kyril Tymoshenko, who was replaced by Oleksiy Kuleba. Three regions later got new heads of OVA.

The President of Ukraine posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” to the Carpathian Vasyl Matsapyak. Soldier Vasyl Matsapyak was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” III degree. The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed the corresponding decree on March 12, 2024.

The defender was recognized for personal courage shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless performance of military duty.

Vasyl Matsapyak hails from the village of Usteryki in the Beloberizka territorial community of the Kosiv district. He stood up for the defense of Ukraine from the first days of the war.

He served as a driver-radiotelephone operator of a platoon in the 44th separate artillery brigade named after Hetman Danylo Apostol. He had the rank of junior sergeant.

The defender died in the Zaporizhzhia region on September 15, 2022 while performing military duty. He was 47 years old. The President of Ukraine posthumously awarded Vasyl Matsapyak, a junior sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Ivano-Frankivsk region, with the Order “For Courage” III degree.

Zelenskyi signed the decree on awarding the award on March 12, 2024.

According to the decree, Vasyl Matsapyak was awarded “for personal courage shown in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and selfless performance of military duty.”
